We Love Dogs

In the area around Vejers Strand, you can visit dog-friendly forests. There is a dog forest in Oksbøl and another in Blåvand. In the Nature Agency's dog forests, you can let your dog run freely—provided you have "full control" over your dog. According to the Danish Dog Act, "full control" means the handler can stop the dog if it, for example, attacks other animals and people. This means that the dog must have close contact with the handler and must not disturb other visitors, dogs, or wildlife, for example, by threatening or chasing them. Dogs that do not immediately come when called must therefore be kept on a leash or at the handler's side. The handler is primarily responsible for avoiding conflicts.
