But once you’ve climbed the 228 steps and caught your breath, the reward awaits—and trust us, it's worth every step! The view from Lyngvig Lighthouse is always stunning and ever-changing. In winter, you might look out over a snowy landscape; in spring, you’ll see the first hints of green; in summer, the fjord sparkles in the sun’s rays; and in autumn, you’ll witness the sea’s waves crashing in the wind.

Plenty of Experiences for All Ages

The area around Lyngvig Lighthouse offers a wealth of activities for the whole family. Let the kids explore the nature playground, enjoy a coffee at the café, or take a pleasant stroll to the nearby beach. From April to October, you can rappel down from the top of the lighthouse every Wednesday. In July and August, this exhilarating experience is combined with evening hours, allowing you to enjoy the breathtaking sunset over the North Sea.

Denmark's Youngest Lighthouse

Lyngvig Lighthouse, the youngest lighthouse on Denmark’s west coast, was built in 1906. Every night, it continues to cast its beam over the sea and fjord, characterized by a unique rotating white flash every five seconds. Standing 38 meters tall on a dune, it reaches a flame height of 53 meters above sea level.
